My final self directed project for the semester finished last night.

Just a self-directed project for class. I will provide links back to the artists of the original photos taken to create this piece. If one of these images belong to you and I didn’t credit you properly for its use let me know I’ll happily fix it. I’m just making art for class and personal enjoyment I mean no rights infringement. Thank you for these wonderful stock images.

I started with:
(http://night-fate-stock.deviantart.com/art/the-drought-254442525) Did some clean up on the photo coloring and took some plants out of the desert. I also cropped the mountains out of the picture as I wanted clear skies.

I layered the ground with (http://fairiegoodmother.deviantart.com/art/Grass-Fire-Stock-19-114469398) I lightened the photo and lowered opacity as I wanted to to suggest there was one a field..set aflame and have the drought desert area behind.

I layered the sky with (http://ineedfire.deviantart.com/art/Nebula-Effects-Fractal-Stock-116324836) again lightening the image and lightening the opacity as I just wanted more stars in the sky.

The top and last layer is (http://night-fate-stock.deviantart.com/art/purple-space-186420052) it layered the nebula effects and sky.  I wanted to get the feel over the universe above the sky that we see everyday.

My positive/negative space assignment “octagons and spiderwebs”. It was inspired by another logo type thing I did a couple months ago http://i.imgur.com/JWfRQ.jpg

So, I’m in a photoshop class right now. I’ve learned that “classroom in a book” for CS5 is awesome and if you are “Self-taught” it’s really the only book you need to understand how to use the program effectively. Just wanna drop some of the assignments I have turned in. This one was for “unity” supposed to be a cd cover for a made up band. Let me say that I honestly didn’t know that Chimera was a “black metal” band in Norway. I actually was referring to it being a synonym for a dream which is what the pic felt like then I just ran with Chimera’s Greek mythology story and some definitions for the track-list.
